Happy Halloween, Blessed Samhain, etc! I'm down to the wire this month, but I'm here! As usual, I will be open for roughly 24 hours to give everyone a chance. If I don't get back to you right away, don't worry, I will! I'm also a mom with kids who has to do the Halloween thing today. :)

Comment and I will pull a card for you from my original, unique bird oracle deck. Anyone and everyone is welcome! If you are facing a choice, the cards may help point in the most positive direction for you. You may request an overall card to meditate upon. You might want a card to let you know what new thing may come into your life in the near future, or what is the most important thing facing you at this time. You may ask a specific question and we will see how the universal subconscious will answer it for you. However you use this opportunity, I hope it will be helpful!

A quick note: The more detail you give in your request, the better I can interpret the card's meaning for you, which is my role as intermediary, however, even just a general request will get my best effort; it's up to you.

I asked what would help you and I drew Cuckoo. If you don't have a Grandfather type in your life, you might want to look for one. This is someone who delights in youth and is strong, yet dependent on others, not picky about food but sometimes cranky in that "get off my lawn" kind of way.

I'm sorry you missed it! I keep wanting to set a regular date, but I apparently have commitment issues beyond "monthly".

The message I drew for you is Cardinal, the bird of traditional fatherhood. (Hrm, two male-oriented cards in a row! Interesting!) This is the provider, especially of food, and a fierce defender of his territory, a reliable and confident soul. Eat a healthy diet and listen to warnings if they come to you.

I asked what you need to know and drew Peafowl. This is the bird of technology, grounded in practical, earthly applications; communication technology, light technology, sound waves, color, including radio and television as well as alarms/alerts, even gasoline.
This bird is also symbolic of the spiritually evolved being who chooses to remain in mortality, chooses to be part of life and help others, combining intuition, compassion and spiritual clarity.
Peahens are very good mothers, in a humble and simple way.
These birds are actually quite dignified and quiet, and may advise similar behavior, as well as watchfulness and observation.
They also teach about beauty. Peacocks are among the most beautiful of birds, but have rather ugly feet and voices. They teach us that we should neither be too proud of our beauty or ashamed of our less than beautiful parts, that people will see what they choose to see and that there is something ugly even in the most beautiful, thus we should all be humble.
Finally, this bird is associated with poison antidotes and resistance.
