March One Card Draw
Mar. 18th, 2013 11:07 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
The March One Card Draw is now OPEN CLOSED! Thank you for your support!
As usual, I will be open for roughly 24 hours, so that all time zones have a chance. :)
Comment and I will pull a card for you from my original, unique bird oracle deck. Anyone and everyone is welcome! If you are facing a choice, the cards may help point in the most positive direction for you. You may request an overall card to meditate upon. You might want a card to let you know what new thing may come into your life in the near future, or what is the most important thing facing you at this time. You may ask a specific question and we will see how the universal subconscious will answer it for you. However you use this opportunity, I hope it will be helpful!
A quick note: The more detail you give in your request, the better I can interpret the card's meaning for you, which is my role as intermediary, however, even just a general request will get my best effort; it's up to you.
For privacy, you may post anonymously; sponsors may choose to get their reading via private message.
Today, I'm working for tips; please support my work if you can! All sponsors may request a second card! (This may be a new question or more detail on the original question, whatever you prefer, just let me know!)
If total tips exceed $15, I will select from all sponsors to receive a free Wings reading. At $25, a random sponsor will receive a Simple Nest reading. At $50, everyone gets into the running to win a Wings read, and at $75, everyone gets a chance at a Simple Nest. Thank you for your support!
Can't afford to tip? Spread the word! Post a link to my draw in at least two different places and you can request a second card! Thank you!
Final Update: We have reached our second incentive! I will post the winners either later today or tomorrow!
As always, please see the disclaimer on my profile page. Also, remember that you can purchase a read at any time from that same profile page or from my website!

Date: 2013-03-18 04:21 pm (UTC)In relation to employment, this card may be suggesting that one practice one's social skills, be a "team player", or be willing to do something that others would not expect him or her to do. Alternatively, this card may suggest thinking carefully about where one can be most successful and making sure that one is in that environment.
I hope this helps!

Date: 2013-03-18 04:28 pm (UTC)Cormorant is about direct, straight, driven, skillful, swift action, no messing about. It also has a strong appetite.
Albatross is still a bird I associate with you; the geek or "goonie" bird, awkward and ungainly on land and amazing in the air.
I think this suggests a good general outlook, mostly stable. If either you or your spouse can find something to really get into, then your financial situation will improve, but it will require the single-mindedness of the cormorant.

Date: 2013-03-18 04:32 pm (UTC)For you, I drew Turkey. This is the bird of male pride, virility/fertility and cunning, mostly cunning! Know your territory, be fearless when when you are in a position of apparent weakness. These birds use short bursts of energy at just the right moment. Turkey is a bird of the open forest and speaks of needing a balance of public and private. These birds are very resilient and bring abundance with them.

Date: 2013-03-18 07:11 pm (UTC)I drew two cards for your finances, Mockingbird and Pigeon. Mockingbird warns that you may be tested by a blinding distraction; use all your senses and you'll do well. Mockingbird understand subtleties of speech and sound and the magic of synthesizing disparate things to produce a unique whole. Brave Mockingbird also reminds us that actions speak louder than words. Pigeon/Dove (they are actually the same bird) speaks very powerfully of the word HOME, in all its possible connotations. These highly adaptable birds are associated with the best and worst of humanity while at the same time they are the quintessential bird.
An interesting bunch of information there; let me know if you need help decoding it!

Date: 2013-03-18 07:25 pm (UTC)I drew Nuthatch and Pigeon/Dove. Nuthatch is a tool used, a very smart bird in a very useful way. They cache food for later use and pick up languages of birds they spend time with. The nuthatch, being a fairly short lived bird, knows that when time is short, one must get to the point. No fuss, no muss, just efficient use of one's skills in a world that is often more brutal than we might wish. Pigeon/Dove is the bird's bird, a sturdy flier, highly adaptable and maneuverable. We associate the best and worst of humanity with these birds, which just means we really identify with them. The word HOME is most powerfully associated with this bird, in as many ways as the word can be thought of and interpreted.
I don't know your situation, but I see a lot in there that could be meaningful on the topic, so I hope this helps!

Date: 2013-03-18 07:31 pm (UTC)Sometimes it's just too hard to get a good answer from one card; good luck!
For you, I drew Bat! The unexpected, the one that turns everything on its head, the bat encourages making peace with one's dark side and finding the good in it.
I always love when this card comes up. :)

Date: 2013-03-19 02:40 am (UTC)I'd like a card about employment in Alaska. And another card about my move to Alaska. :-)
Thank you!

Date: 2013-03-19 02:37 pm (UTC)I love Alaska and some dear friends live there, so I hope you have a wonderful experience! Let's see what the cards say...
For your move, I drew Parrot. This is the bird of passion and compassion. Lovers mimic each other and bond intensely. I'm guessing you are moving to join a romantic partner? This card bodes very well for that!
For employment, I drew Robin. This bird of great heart is caretaker to the desperate, bringing warmth and empathy, mercy and relief. I suspect you will find work in a caregiving profession.
I hope this helps!

Date: 2013-03-19 02:40 pm (UTC)Bat flies right out at you! This is the not-a-bird of the unexpected, the one that turns everything on its head. Bat, lover of the warm and dark, encourages making peace with one's dark side and finding the good in it.
As I mentioned to someone else, I love this card and so it always comes with a good feeling. :)
Oooh! Oooh! Oooh! The Bird Oracle is Open!

Date: 2013-03-19 02:43 pm (UTC)I asked the birds what they had to tell you and I drew Mute Swan. Linked to the letter G and to ivy, this is the bird of the Maiden; sweetness, fidelity, love, silence, silence broken only for a very important reason, sweetest song upon dying, surprising strength, don't underestimate, don't anger, don't spy on, this is a form commonly chosen by the gods and the fey.
I hope this is helpful to you!

Date: 2013-03-19 05:14 am (UTC)relationship with partner isn't going well and I can't think of anyway to help things
no subject
Date: 2013-03-19 03:32 pm (UTC)I asked what you can do to help your relationship and I drew Mockingbird. This bird speaks strongly about the magic of synthesizing disparate things to produce a unique whole and also reminds you that actions speak louder than words. Mockingbird also warns of a blinding distraction and advises one to stay calm and use all of one's senses to do well.
I want to note that these suggestions do not necessarily include the idea that doing them is the best choice; it's just the direction to go in order to help your relationship. It may be that not doing them is actually the better choice for you.
I hope this helps and am happy to answer questions!
