Welcome to the One Card Draw here at Wren Starling's blog! The draw is NOW OPEN! CLOSED!

THANK YOU for your support! It was wonderful to help you with my gift and wonderful to be gifted in return!

Comment and I will pull a card for you from my original, unique bird oracle deck. Anyone and everyone is welcome! The more detail you give in your request, the better I can interpret the card's meaning for you, which is my role as intermediary, however, even just a general request will get my best effort; it's up to you. For privacy, you may post anonymously; sponsors may choose to get their reading via private message.

If you are facing a choice, the cards may help point in the most positive direction for you. You may request an overall card to meditate upon. You might want a card to let you know what new thing may come into your life in the near future, or what is the most important thing facing you at this time. You may ask a specific question and we will see if the universal subconscious can answer it for you. However you use this opportunity, I hope it will be helpful!

If you publicize or choose to sponsor today's one card draw, you may request a second card! Otherwise, please keep it to one request per person so that the most people may be served. Thank you!

Today, I'm working for tips; please support my work if you can!
If total tips exceed $25, I will select a random donor (please include your handle in the special message section when you donate!) to receive a free Wings reading. At $50, a random donor will receive a Simple Nest reading. At $75, everyone gets into the running to win a Wings read, and at $100, everyone gets a chance at a Simple Nest. Thank you for your support!

Progress update: What a wonderful thing to wake up to! You have earned the Simple Nest reading for donors as well! Winners will be notified at their Paypal email address!

I plan to take requests till I get back to the computer in the morning, unless I get way overloaded, then sponsors will get a guaranteed read and everyone else will have to take their chances. :)

As always, please take note of the disclaimer on my profile page. Thank you!

I honestly don't know what to make of this... except that I feel an indescribable craving for the lesson Falcon wants to teach me. (And Falcon is also a hawk - a bird of prey who is a superb acrobatic flyer...)

I have no interest in "passionate self-examination". But the sky is, and always has been, my true home.

I saw someone flying a parafoil kite on the beach the other day. I think I need to get more in touch with the sky, by almost-literally "touching the sky" with a kite. My son had a parafoil kite... it might still be around here someplace...

[Story: In junior high school, my son wanted to do a science project that involved lifting things up a hundred feet or so, and a small parafoil kite was cheaper than a helium balloon. We went to the beach to do some test runs with the kite, but it turned out to be a lot windier than we expected. The kite was pulling so strongly that the string was humming in the wind like an Aeolian harp, and it nearly pulled my son off his feet. I grabbed the line and started pulling it in hand-over-hand. My son was frightened, and running around in little circles, but I was laughing with the sheer exu/altation of the wind! I had to wrestle the kite down into the wind-shadow of the car and step on it to deflate it, before I could fold it up and put it away. I was still laughing, all the way home. I think this may be what Falcon is telling me I need.]

Found it, but twenty-plus years had caused the fabric to deteriorate; it crumbled in my hands. I know where to get another, and they're not too expensive.
