Wisdom the Albatross

I love this, because the albatross is one of my favorite birds, possibly my very favorite. These birds speak to the misfit in us all; on land, they are quite awkward and ungainly, almost pitiful, but in the air? These birds are beyond magnificent; they are the epitome of discoverers, making new paths frequently; truly, deeply magical beings, they stay in the air far longer than seems possible. They have sweetly odd courtship rituals and mate for life, raising a child once every year or two. What's not to love?
